USTM Announces NE Graduate Congress 2026, Thousands of Students to Take Part

The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) has announced that the 8th edition of the North East Graduate Congress 2026 will be held from March 26 to 28, featuring a three-day programme aimed at engaging undergraduate students from across the country.
The announcement was made at a press conference at the Guwahati Press Club, where USTM officials, including Chief Secretary Dr Mehjabeen Rahman, briefed the media about the upcoming event.


Organisers said the congress is expected to attract thousands of undergraduate students representing colleges and universities from different parts of India.


The event will include a variety of competitions and activities spanning literary, cultural, creative and sports categories. In addition, several knowledge-oriented sessions will be conducted to help students gain insights and prepare for their future careers.


Competitions such as quiz, debate, photography and other creative disciplines will provide participants with a platform to demonstrate their skills, ideas and talents.


As part of the programme, 20 students will be awarded a special fellowship in honour of renowned Assamese singer Zubeen Garg.
