At least three persons have gone missing following a boat accident in the Brahmaputra River in Assam’s Morigaon district on Monday.
The incident occurred at Borchapori Bhajakhaiti Ghat under the jurisdiction of Bhelowguri Police Station. According to reports, the three individuals were crossing the river in a manually operated boat when it capsized midstream.
The missing persons have been identified as Mosabbir Hussain (14), Ainul Haque (30), and Wahed Ali (65).
Sources said the boat sank while they were travelling from one bank of the river to the other, after which all three went missing.
Search operations are currently underway to trace the missing individuals.
